The Chief Minister said this in a tweet

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared the above information in a post on social media on Saturday and said that orders have been given to cancel the examination 2023 conducted for recruitment to police constable posts and to conduct the examination again within the next 6 months. It has also been said that there will be no compromise with the examinations to be held. People who play with the hard work of the youth will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We will not act softly against them.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Home Department has issued orders to cancel the examination. According to the order issued, it has been decided to cancel the examination which was conducted on 17th and 18th February 2023. The government has issued instructions to the Bharti Board that Strict action will be taken against those who have been negligent at any level.

STF will investigate the conducted exam

The government has decided to get the case investigated by the special task force STF of Uttar Pradesh Police. Instructions have been given to take strict legal action against those found guilty. The government has decided to conduct the exam again within 6 months and Uttar Pradesh Free service of Parivaan Nigam will be given to the candidates and also it has been said in the order that if any person wants to give any kind of complaint regarding this examination and the elements affecting its fairness, then he can give his name and full details along with the proof. Reason for cancellation of exam

There were more than 60000 recruitments for the posts of Uttar Pradesh Police Constable, for which the examination was conducted in all 75 districts of the state on 17th and 18th February, in which more than 48 lakh candidates had appeared. The examination was completed properly on the first day i.e. on 17th. But the next day, news of its leaking started coming due to which many solvers were arrested. On 23 December 2023, notification for 6244 posts was issued for Bharti. Applications started from 27 December. The last date of application was 16 January 2024. The date for admission was fixed from 70th to 20th January. The application fee for all the students was kept at ₹400

When did the issue of paper leak happen
