Who was Rinki Chakma

Rinki Chakma hailed from the Chakma community in Tripura. She won the crown of Femina Miss India Tripura in the North East regional audition in 2017. The competition took place on March 19 at Big Bazaar, City Square in Guwahati, Assam. Representing Tripura in the competition, Rinki won the title of Miss Beauty with a Purpose.

Rinki Battled a Serious Illness

It is noteworthy that Rinki Chakma was suffering from a life-threatening illness, Phyllodes Tumor. She had mentioned her illness on social media on January 27 of the previous month, stating that it was a type of breast cancer. She underwent surgery for the tumor’s treatment. However, after a prolonged battle with the illness, the model succumbed to it.

Actress Neha Dhupia expressed her grief over the demise of model Rinki Chakma. She shared a red heartbreak emoji as a tribute to her. Fans also expressed their condolences on the model’s demise.
